Hi, I’m Em.
I was diagnosed with MS nearly 20-years ago. I've know the fear, the grief, the conflicting advice, the protocols that didn't hold. I've been through HSCT. I know what a bad MS day does to your confidence, your relationships, your sense of what's possible.
I'm also a health counsellor with a background in public health and nutrition. But the reason my clients trust me isn't the qualification - it's that I've been living in this body for a very long time. And I know the way through.
Why this is different.
Generic counselling services don't understand MS. My clients don't have to explain what neurological fatigue is, why a good day doesn't mean they're fine, or what it's like to build a life around a disease that doesn't cooperate. I already know - which means the work can start immediately.
Lived experience is the credential
Nearly 20 years with MS. HSCT recipient. I'm not studying your life from the outside - I'm living a version of it.
Public health background
I understand how the health system works, what the research actually says, and how to have the conversations with your medical team that actually move things forward.
